Landlord-Tenant

At Kessler Law we have experience in all areas of landlord-tenant law.  We represent landlords in preparation, negotiation and review of leases and subleases of office, industrial, retail and warehouse space, as well as rooftop antenna leases and commercial brokerage agreements.  We also prepare and review residential leases for property owners and managers.

We regularly litigate disputes arising out of commercial and residential leases in landlord-tenant court.  We represent real estate management companies, investors, community associations, local and national landlords, public real estate companies and REITS in these matters.

Our practice includes a wide range of landlord-tenant disputes relating to commercial, multi-family and residential properties, including:

  • Non–payment of rent;
  • Breach of lease, including preparation of default notices, notices to cease and notices to quit;
  • Holdover proceedings;
  • Judgments of possession and warrants for removal;
  • Post-foreclosure evictions;
  • Illegal tenant, sublet and non-primary resident claims; and
  • Ejectment actions.
